TRAIN BUILDINGS

STRUCTURES

Most of my structures are made from kits.  Although these kits often come painted and ready for assembly, they usually require a good deal of work to make them look realistic.  This can involve re-painting, weathering, dulling shiny surfaces, filling brick and stone work with motor and placement of window dressing decals and signs.  Structures can be made out of plastic, thick paper or matte type cardboard, wood or metal.

DETAILS

Hundreds to thousands of little details can and should go into a train layout.  This includes:

·         Populating with people in various scenes.

·         Placement of animals especially in farm and rural scenes.

·         And one of my favorites -  placement of vehicles including cars, trucks construction vehicles, cranes, etc.
