Summer 2005. This bear came on our deck a few seconds after Sheila walked in the house. Disappointed at the menu, he left the deck.

April 2006. Somehow the squirrels still manage to get food out of our "squirrel proof" bird feeders.

Winter 2006. Dila and Rich were welcomed to Cripple Creek by some local inhabitants.

August 2006. A new addition to the wildlife - Bambi.

September 2006. After Mr. Bear had dined sufficiently, he left. But being a polite bear he turned to say thanks for the food.

Our cat Clifford keeping a watchful eye on a neighbor's cat that liked to visit us and attack the birds that visited our bird feeders.
Yes, that is a bat.  We did not want to disturb it, so we just watched it for months.  They can stay in one spot for a long time, but after a while realized it was dead.
